United in Purpose, Dedicated to Progress
Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni & Friends, Inc., organized in 1956 and chartered with federal, state, and local governments, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing meaningful community services to both youth and adults. Our chapters are proudly located in North Carolina, the District of Columbia, and Georgia.
Our focus is to provide scholarships to high school graduates, along with tutoring, mentoring, and fellowship activities that unite individuals through our organization. Through these efforts, we foster productive partnerships, civic engagement, and responsible citizenship within the communities we serve.
Keshia Smith Crowned
2026–2027 DGAF National Scholarship Queen
Keshia Smith, representing the Goldsboro High School Class of 1988, was proudly crowned the 2026–2027 Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni & Friends, Inc. National Scholarship Queen.
With the incredible support of family, friends, classmates, alumni, and the community, Keshia raised an outstanding $23,595 for the DGAF National Scholarship Fund. Her campaign was especially meaningful because she was herself a DGAF scholarship recipient in 1988, making this journey a true full-circle moment.
For Keshia, the crown represents much more than winning a contest—it represents service, education, community, and giving the next generation the same opportunity that was once given to her.
She extends heartfelt gratitude to every person who donated, attended a fundraiser, shared a post, volunteered, encouraged her, or simply believed in the mission.
Keshia looks forward to representing DGAF throughout the 2026–2027 year with grace, pride, purpose, and a continued commitment to scholarships and service.
