Washington, D.C. Chapter

The Washington, D.C. Chapter is selling keepsake face masks.  Masks come in 2 designs and can be purchased with or without a chapter’s name,  organization’s charter dates, logo, etc.  Masks sell for $15.00/each and includes S&H.  There is an extra cost if an individual wants a chapter name imprinted.  If you are interested in purchasing either of these designs,  please contact LaVerne B. The DC Chapter is also selling raffle tickets. The prize is a 55” LG TV. Tickets are 5 for $6.00.    If you wish to purchase raffle tickets, you may contact LaVerne Lowery.  Drawing will be held on February 20, 2021.

Notice of the Election for National President, 2021-2024

Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni & Friends Inc.


The National Election Committee, in accordance with Sec 4.3 of the Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni and Friends, Inc. National By-laws met and established the election of National President, to serve a three (3) year term starting September 1, 2021.   


The nomination period for National President is January 1, 2021 and will conclude on February 1, 2021. 

Written nominations must be received, along with certification from the nominees’ Chapter President or designee, that he/she meets the following qualifications:

  • A demonstrated record of high character and integrity

  • Not been convicted of a felony or be a registered sex offender

  • Been a member of National Dillard/Goldsboro and a Chapter for two (2) full years immediately preceding the nomination

  • Been active in projects and activities in his or her local Chapter or at the National level for at least two (2) years

  • Not previously been removed as a Director or Officer of National Dillard/Goldsboro


Nominees should submit their intent to the Election Committee through their chapter representative.


In the event in-person Homecoming activities in May 2021 are unable to occur, this committee shall provide to the Board of Directors our recommended voting guidelines on the final slate of nominees provided before the annual Spring 2021 meeting.


Voting for National President is limited to members in good standing at time of the election.  It is encouraged that members fulfill their financial responsibility in advance to accurately distribute any requested ballots.
