2020-21 QUEEN

The COVID-19 didn’t deter the Goldsboro Chapter of Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni & Friends, Inc. from raising funds to provide scholarships for deserving high school students.  Members of the chapter, along with the Queen’s Committee and Ms. Shirley Kornegay Kee, raised nearly $15,000 for Ms. Kee to earn the title of 2020-21 DGAF Alumni Queen.

Though the annual Scholarship Program which was scheduled for the Memorial Day Weekend of events and activities, the 2020 celebration had to be canceled.  However, because of the Queen’s contest, annual scholarships were presented to 20 qualified 2020 high school graduates.

Ms. Shirley K. Kee is a 1964 graduate of Dillard High School and Ft. Worth Beauty College of Ft. Worth, Texas. She is the owner and operator of Ms. Kee’s Salon on S. Slocumb Street.  Ms. Kee is a member of First African Missionary Baptist Church of Goldsboro and the mother of three children, Eddie, Wilkins and Beverly Kee.  She is also the doting grandmother of Logan and Adam Kee.

The Goldsboro Chapter is extremely grateful and proud of Ms. Kee and her extraordinary dedication, plus superb effort in supporting the DGAF Alumni Scholarship Program.  We Salute 2020-21 Queen Shirley K. Kee!
