Scholarship Gala

On Saturday, February 28, Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni & Friends, Inc. proudly hosted its Inaugural Scholarship Gala, an evening dedicated to celebrating excellence, honoring legacy, and investing in the future of students from the Goldsboro community.

The evening highlighted the impact of alumni engagement and community partnership in helping students pursue higher education. Guests enjoyed an atmosphere of fellowship while reflecting on the shared legacy of Dillard High School and Goldsboro High School and the powerful role alumni continue to play in uplifting the community.

A special recognition to Dr. Chandra Shackleford-Robinson, DGAF, Inc National Scholarship Chair, whose leadership and dedication helped bring the vision of the Scholarship Gala to life. Through her commitment and the support of the scholarship committee, the event successfully created a new platform to grow scholarship support and expand the organization’s educational impact.

Throughout the evening, speakers emphasized the importance of continuing the legacy of opportunity that Dillard and Goldsboro alumni have long championed. For decades, the alumni association has worked to ensure that deserving students have access to financial assistance and encouragement as they pursue their academic and career goals.

The Inaugural Scholarship Gala also served as a reminder that when alumni come together with a shared purpose, the impact can be transformational. The support shown through attendance, sponsorships, and donations will directly contribute to scholarships that empower students to continue their education and pursue their dreams.

Dillard/Goldsboro Alumni & Friends, Inc. extends its sincere gratitude to everyone who attended, supported, and helped make the inaugural gala a success.
